The Regenocyte Process

The process begins when a patient or family contacts Regenocyte. You can do this by calling the Regenocyte office toll free at 866-216-5710, or at 239-333-1239. Or, fill out our online contact form and we will return a call to you.

Once you have decided upon the benefits of Regenocyte Stem Cell Therapy, you will come to our medical facility headquartered in Bonita Springs on the Gulf Coast of Florida. Regenocyte does an initial evaluation to determine if adult stem cell therapy would be beneficial. All medical records are reviewed, and the Regenocyte staff determines if additional testing of the patient is needed. Evaluation and testing is all done in a single facility. Our staff will then develop a treatment plan that best suits the patient's condition.

When the patient chooses to have adult stem cell treatment, blood is drawn from the patient. This is a standard blood draw like the ones done by your primary care physician. This blood will provide the stem cells that will be used in the treatment. The blood is couriered to a lab facility located in Israel for a period of one week so that the stem cells can be "activated" and multiplied to a therapeutic strength. In this process of activation, the stem cells are treated in a solution that customizes the stem cells for the purpose for which they will be used in treatment. For example, they are activated to build muscle tissue for the heart, or they are activated to rebuild blood vessels in the extremities.

The process takes place at a lab in Israel where this treatment has been researched, studied, and successfully developed. After a week, the patient and the activated stem cells both arrive at the hospital in the Dominican Republic where the procedure is completed.

When the patient and his traveling companions arrive at the Santo Domingo International Airport in the Dominican Republic, they are met by a representative of Regenocyte. This representative will take care of all patient needs on an around-the-clock basis while the patient is in the Dominican Republic. Be advised that a valid US Passport is required for entry into the Dominican Republic. Information regarding obtaining a passport can be found at:
http://travel.state.gov/passport/get/get_4855.html

These needs include transportation to and from the airport, the hotel, and the hospital. It also includes language interpretation services, hotel and hospital check in services, and everything related to the comfort and a most positive experience for the patient.

The procedure at the hospital involves a catheterization process that delivers the activated stem cells to the part of the body that is being treated. That is, to the heart if the objective is improved heart function, or to an area in the leg, for example, if the goal is better circulation through increased numbers of blood vessels.

Because the procedure itself is not extremely stressful, recuperation time is related more to the procedure being done and the incoming condition of the patient. Cardiac patients may spend 48 hours in the hospital. PAD or Peripheral Arterial Disease patients are often released within hours of the treatment. The stay of each patient is dependent upon that individual's procedure and condition.

We encourage patients to relax and recuperate for several days after the treatment. Traveling home will often be just as stressful as the procedure itself, so a few days of rest before the return trip is prudent. The patient can go home when he or she determines that the time is right, and until then, the Regenocyte representative will make their stay as restful as possible.
